I loved her in "My Fair Lady," although I'm told she did not do the singing. They overdubbed her with Julie Andrews.

She did not do the singing for all of the songs, but it wasn't Julie Andrews that sang for her. I'm not sure who it was. Julie Andrews had the part on Broadway and a lot of people felt she should have been given the movie lead, too, but Audrey Hepburn was a bigger star at the time. That year they were both nominated for Oscars and the honor went to Julie Andrews for Mary Poppins. I love them both!

There you go. More info than you ever needed! To see a great dance scene with Audrey, watch Funny Face. She's quite an accomplished dancer and would have been a ballerina had her training not been interrupted by World War II.

(I may be a bit obsessed.)

love,

I stand corrected...maybe it was Mary Martin who did the singing. She did the broadway version of The Sound Of Music.
