Mom's knee-replacement surgery yesterday went very well. The doctor said that he doesn't know how she went as long as she did with the horrible condition of her knee. Once the recovery is over she should feel so much better. We were at the hospital at 7:45 AM for her scheduled surgery at 10 AM. They didn't even take her to surgery until 11:30 AM and she was finished at 2 PM. She didn't get into a room until 7:30 PM!!!! I guess they didn't have any rooms available. Grrrrr! Frustrating. It made for a very long day...but I did get half of Bear Sweater #1 done.
I made a mistake in the Moss Stitch pattern near the top of the sleeve...can you see it? Guess I'll need to fix that up. I also think I made this sweater a bit longer than the first, but I guess that's OK. I must have counted the rows differently or something.
Finished the Socks from Hell on Saturday evening (well, actually only the first sock was from Hell; the second went much better). I'll post a picture when I can find them...Kate has taken them and I don't have the guts to go into her room to look for them. They are fraternal twins as Anny mentioned, but I think I like them that way.
That's it for now...more exciting news to follow.
